Bojana is an author/illustrator and fine artist.

Yugoslav-born in 1974, she grew up in Belgrade and moved to Canada after high school, where she learned digital illustration and worked as a sole trader in marketing and animation for several years. Eventually she relocated back to the Old World, graduated from the University of Arts in Belgrade and moved to Slovenia in 2014, fulfilling a long-held dream of becoming an author/illustrator. Her work is published internationally.

In 2017, her illustrations were nominated for the Levstik Award, a Slovenian literary prize awarded for achievements in children’s literature. In 2019 she was awarded the Hinko Smrekar Distinction at the 13th Biennial of Slovene Book Illustration in Ljubljana. Since 2020 Bojana is living and working in Sweden. She is also a member of The association of Swedish illustrators and graphic designers.
